 Long Range/ Property Issues meeting minutes

On Sunday, June 23, 2002, a joint meeting of Property, Long Range, and Stewardship Committees was held to discuss the long range property issues facing the church over the next several years.

After some general discussion a suggestion was made to form a "Phase II" redecorating committee, whose task it would be to update and repair the church's exterior & structure, the way "Project 2000" repaired and redecorated the church's interior.

Many major project items have been brought up as issues in the past months, some of which were discussed at the meeting as possible items to be addressed by the new committee:

• repair/replacement of heating system (with)
• consideration for A/C needs
• tuck point of brick
• new roof
• basement repair/updates (ceiling tiles/new windows, etc...)
• repair of front church steps
• repair of parish house (boiler, basement windows, foundation)

Other items brought up in the meeting that were deemed short term to be brought to the attention of the Property Committee are:

• repair of parish house steps
• painting trim on the parish house
• getting the sound system repaired/optimized

The first "Phase II" committee meeting will be held sometime in July to start taking an inventory of all items that need to be addressed by the committee, and then to set priority to the items identified.
