Bernice E. Musil Memorial
Library
Bernice was born
Bernice Edna Carlson, January 10th, 1916 on a farm near Cleburne,
Kansas. She was married to Joseph Donald Musil June 29th, 1949 to
which four children - Joseph Evan, Mary Ann, Daniel Philip, and Martha
Louise, were born. She died January 11th, 2004 in Cedar Rapids,
Iowa. Bernice was a lover of cooking, gardening, flowers, sewing,
music, playing the piano - high school pianist, singing solo and in
choir and the college Messiah, Bible study, nursing and teaching
nursing, teaching Sunday School, lectoring in church, parenting and
grand parenting her thirteen grandchildren - and all in turn to love to
read. Bernice's hopes and wishes for a library for St. John are
now realized. Initiated by her memorials, aided by additional
Memorial funding, and assisted by the time and efforts of many
supportive of a library, these resources have made this library a
reality. Come, taste and see. |
