Fall is Falling!  Catch It!!!

As hot as it has been, you still came! Twenty-seven people spending a Saturday moving, cleaning, arranging, lifting, encouraging, helping… It was a great picture of what Trinity needs to be about as we continue to take seriously our school and preschool ministries.  Thank you to all who came!

Seriously Busy!
September is one of those months that, well, a person could almost have too much fun for his own good.  It gets BUSY around here!  Seriously Busy!  With the plumbing nightmare found in the sanctuary, the school repairs that could be put off no longer, the new people to meet, the training to do, the manuals to publish and pass out with explanations, the schedules to make, the students to find, the bookkeeping problems, the orders for supplies to be made… Whew!  Along with this is the normal work to be done around the church/school!  Sunday School is starting, C.O.W. is getting ready to begin, we’re preparing for the School’s 50th Anniversary in October, and the Dave Anderson concert and brunch (two events) in November… It’s going to be a wonderfully full fall at Trinity!

We sure need your help!
However… there are just a few dedicated souls doing 90% of the work around here at Trinity.  PLEASE find a way to get involved in ministry!  This can only work if you all understand how important what we are doing really is to the Kingdom of God.

Important Stuff Coming VERY SOON
-  Our Sunday School Begins with Rally Day on Sunday, September 13th.  Through Sunday School we have an opportunity to be sure that our children are given a good grounding in the Word of God and introduced to Jesus.  Pastor John is in need of others to help with this important ministry.  PLEASE talk to him if you are able to help!
-  The Church On Wednesday (COW, of course) program is set to re-start on September 23rd, and I know that Pr. John and Stephanie Anderson would welcome volunteers to “wrangle” some of the “li’l doggies” (sorry…) on Wednesday evenings.  PLEASE talk to them!
-  We are holding a NEW MEMBER CLASS on Sunday, September 27th (see the article inside for further details).  I am highlighting the 15% member school/preschool discount that we are offering to member families, but most importantly, the ways we can become involved in the life of the parish working together for the Kingdom of God.  We have MANY families interested in joining right now.  It’s an exciting time! 
-  Our Day School is celebrating its 50th Anniversary on the weekend of October 23rd-25th with some amazing events.  Rev. Paul Anderson, son of Pastor Andy Anderson (former pastor here) and graduate of our school, will be preaching and leading an evangelism emphasis weekend as we celebrate our schools’ ministries.  PLAN TO BE INVOLVED THAT WEEKEND!!!
-  The Harvest Festival is coming October 31st -- See Pastor John for ways you can help with this great event!
-  David Anderson, a well-known speaker, singer, and youth ministry pro, is coming to do TWO EVENTS at Trinity:  a concert service on Sunday Evening, November 29th at 7 pm, and our Women’s Advent brunch on Saturday, December 12th from 9am – noon.  He and his wife Barb have an AMAZING testimony and a wonderful gift for music. Dr. Oswald Hoffmann will be speaking as well.  This is a MAJOR COUP for Trinity to be able to bring these people here.  You won’t want to miss it!!!

We have SO MANY wonderful opportunities.  Don’t miss ANY of them!  Get involved!  Share your time and efforts with us as we do the Lord’s work.  NOTHING you give out of love will cost you more than you receive in return.  God is like that.
