Christian Education:
-
Sunday
School for ages 3 and older each Sunday during
the Christian Education Hour. Classes for each
grade school level as well as a High School Bible
Class is offered and several Adult Bible Classes are
also offered at the same time.
-
Midweek School is offered each Wednesday after
school for Kindergarten – 8th Grade from
September through April. This is an opportunity for
the youth of the congregation to become better
acquainted with the teachings of Lutheranism.

Vacation Bible School is offered each summer for
ages 3 through sixth grade. More information is
available through the church office.

Bible Study Opportunities:
-
ChristCare groups meet weekly or biweekly as
each group determines. ChristCare groups are small
groups that meet for a period of a year and then
give birth to new groups and new leaders. Currently
there are 8 ChristCare groups whose purpose is:
-
1.
to grow together in God’s Word
-
2.
engage is devotional time with one another
-
3.
adopt some missional activity and
-
4.
build a small group community of fellowship with one
another.

Life-Light Bible Studies are small groups that
meet weekly to study the Scripture. These groups
generally have the goal in mind to study certain
books of the Bible. Currently there are 3 groups
that meet each week.

Early
Morning Bible Study led by Pastor Kendall meets
every Thursday morning for breakfast and Bible
Study.
-
Sunday
Morning Adult Bible Studies take place during
the Christian Education Hour. Currently three
options are available for persons to attend each
Sunday.

Music:
Immanuel
Lutheran Church offers several opportunities for being
involved with music in the congregation. Currently
the following options for using musical talents are
available.

Adult
Choir which meets every Wednesday evening

Bell
Choir which meets every Wednesday evening
-
Children’s Bell Choir which meets every Wednesday
after Midweek School
-
Junior
Choir for grade 4-6 which meets on Wednesday during
Midweek School
-
Cherub
Choir for grades K-3 which meets on Wednesday during
Midweek School
-
There are
also opportunities for solo work and instrumental
accompaniment.

Lutheran Women’s Missionary League:
Immanuel
currently offers three women’s circle groups which
meet monthly at different times. Each quarter the
women meet jointly as the Immanuel Lutheran Church
Women (I.L.C.W.). Each of these groups are affiliated
with the
Lutheran Women’s Missionary League.

Quilting:
Each Monday
afternoon from September through April, a group of
women from the congregation make quilts for Lutheran
World Relief. Each year they make and tie over 100
quilts for disaster distribution.

Altar Guild:
This is a
group of parishioners whose duty it is to change and
maintain the altar paraments as well as to set up for
the sacraments. They also meet monthly to study
matters of a liturgical concern.

Parish Nurse Program:
Immanuel
Lutheran Church is blessed to have a number of members
in the nursing profession who willingly provide a
program for the health and wellness of congregational
members. Once a month between services they provide
blood pressure screening and will provide additional
health benefits for the members.

Youth Activities:
Immanuel
sponsors an active youth program for the Senior High
School youth which meets weekly on Wednesdays and
which also hosts a once a month Sunday evening praise
event. The High School youth also have an active
ChristCare group. Immanuel’s youth have been actively
engaged in attending the youth events of the Iowa
District West as well as the L.C.M.S. gatherings. The
Junior High students also participate in a monthly
activity.
