Our congregation is a small, but committed and diverse group of Christians. An extremely friendly church, Holy Comforter welcomes all to worship. Some members are from the Hillcrest area and others travel from a distance to experience Holy Comforter's liturgy which celebrates many Lutheran traditions. Members come all over the District of Columbia as well as from Bethesda, Temple Hills, Oxon Hill, Upper Marlboro, Waldorf, Fort Washington, District Heights, Hyattsville, Largo, Suitland, Laurel, Brandywine, Darnestown, Gaithersburg, Landover, Capitol Heights, Chantilly, Reston and Manassas.

Holy Comforter's 10:00am service features music from Organist Edgar "Pat" Heflin on the church's Karl Wilhelm tracker organ and from the choir.

Services are held at 8:30am and 10:00am every Sunday morning.

On Sundays which feature potluck dinners or other special events, there is one combined 10:00am service.

Join us during Lent for Meagre Meals and Lenten evening vespers each Thursday evening. A light meal is provided at 6:00, class or presentation at 6:30 and vespers at 7:00.
