What we Believe, Teach, and Proclaim

• There is one triune God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  God is the Creator and Preserver of all things.
• The Bible is God’s true Word, without error. It is the source of Christian faith and life.
• All people have sinned and fall short of God’s perfection.
• God, in His love for us all, sent His Son Jesus to gain forgiveness of all our sins.
• Forgiveness and eternal life are free gifts from God through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
• By the power of the Holy Spirit, God creates and sustains faith in us.  Through faith we receive and trust in the promises of God.
• Good deeds are done by Christians in response to the mercy God has shown them, and that they in no way earn God’s favor.
• Baptism is a means by which God gives to us the gifts of new life and salvation.
• In Holy Communion, we receive the true body and blood of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of our sins and the strengthening of faith.
