What is
"worship"?
Worship is God's service to us as His gathered guests and
our faith-full response to Him in Christ. Worship is also an
opportunity to grow and develop as a community and for the community
to be empowered to go out into the world. Worship is not a form of
entertainment, nor is it a "spectator sport." Young and old are
encouraged to be active participants in the liturgy.
For more information on Lutheran
worship, please visit the LCMS FAQ
site devoted to worship and
congregational life. The Links page on
our website also contains references to other useful
sites.
To aid the visually impaired, large
print hymnals are available.
Holy
Communion Holy Communion is
celebrated on the First and Third Sundays of the month. You can find
out more about Holy Communion (also referred to as the Sacrament of
the Altar or the Eucharist) in an
article from the "What About?" series. This series was written
by former LCMS president Rev. Dr. A.L. Barry. The table of contents
to the entire series of 29 pamphlets is available on the LCMS
website.
